The defending champions have a tricky match vs. Newcastle, who have the EPL’s best defense, on Saturday. To stay in the thick of the title race, City will certainly need all three points. EFL Cup winners Manchester United will also head to Liverpool on Sunday for another edition of the Northwest Derby. We’ll cover this weekend’s Premier League action as we take a look at the EPL Matchday 26 odds.

Matches of the Week

MCIManchester City vs NewcastleNEW

Date & Time:

In one of the matches of the week on the EPL schedule, defending champions Manchester City host Newcastle. The Magpies have lost two consecutive matches for the first time all season. Manchester United defeated Newcastle 2-0 in the EFL Cup final last Sunday while Newcastle also lost to Liverpool in their last EPL match. Manchester City easily defeated Bristol City 3-0 in the FA Cup fifth round on Tuesday. The Cityzens also put four goals on Bournemouth last weekend to get a crucial three points.

The latest odds price Man City as one-goal favorites and they sit at -140 odds to cover. The last meeting between these teams finished in a six-goal thriller. Newcastle took a 3-1 lead vs. City but Pep Guardiola’s side fought back to preserve a 3-3 draw. Another draw shows +395 odds but City had won the previous six meetings. City, who are -225 favorites, have averaged an astounding four goals per game in their last four games vs. Newcastle. Man City’s Phil Foden has scored three goals in his last two appearances and is one to watch on Saturday.

Of course, Guardiola also has Erling Haaland, Jack Grealish, Riyad Mahrez and Julian Alvarez to call on. Newcastle’s leading scorer this season is Miguel Almiron, who has found the net 10 times. Despite his goal scoring prowess, Newcastle +1 shows +120 odds and the Magpies are +550 underdogs to win the match. Newcastle have managed the best defensive record in the league this season, though. Goalkeeper Nick Pope, who’s back from suspension, leads the league with 12 shutouts. Under three goals come in at -130 odds for the match. Incredibly, Newcastle have failed to defeat Manchester City on the road in an EPL match since 2000.

LIVLiverpool vs Manchester UnitedMUN

Date & Time:

Liverpool have finally picked things up lately, with three wins in their last four EPL matches. The Reds are now just six points outside of the Champions League places and have a game in hand over fourth-placed Tottenham. Liverpool won 2-0 vs. Wolves on Wednesday as Virgil van Dijk and Mo Salah were the goalscorers. Salah has now reached 20 goals in all competitions this season and he’s reached the feat every season of his LFC career. He’ll look to get on the scoresheet on Sunday vs. a rejuvenated Manchester United in the Northwest Derby.

Third-placed United won the EFL Cup last weekend and progressed to the FA Cup quarter final midweek. The Premier League betting odds are showing Man United a lot of respect heading into Sunday’s match. Liverpool are ever-so-slight favorites in this pick’em as they show +145 moneyline odds. Manchester United come in at +175 odds to win despite not winning at Anfield since 2016. Liverpool pk sits at -120 odds, while the Red Devils are priced at even odds ATS.

Manchester United scored two 90th minute goals to take down West Ham 3-1 in the FA Cup on Wednesday. Marcus Rashford has been one of the EPL’s best players this season and has scored in his last five Premier League starts. Man United also defeated Liverpool 2-1 back in August in the reverse fixture. A draw comes in at +265 odds, while under three goals display +265 odds for Sunday’s derby.

Other Important Matches

ARSArsenal vs BournemouthBOU

Date & Time:

Arsenal completely outclassed Everton on Wednesday and have another favorable match vs. Bournemouth on Saturday. The Gunners got out to a two-goal lead at halftime vs. Everton and won the match 4-0. Gabriel Martinelli scored a double and he now leads Arsenal with 11 EPL goals this season. Arsenal, who have a five-point lead at the top of the table, are two-goal favorites for Saturday’s match. Mikel Arteta’s side come in at +120 odds to cover and -440 odds to win the match.

It’s no surprise that Arsenal are massive favorites for this match. They dominated Bournemouth 3-0 at the Vitality Stadium earlier this season. Arsenal have also won their last five matches vs. Bournemouth, in all competitions, and have never lost or drawn vs. Bournemouth at home. Struggling Bournemouth enter the weekend in 19th place in the EPL and are frantically trying to avoid relegation. Before losing 4-1 to City last weekend, they did manage to pick up points in three of their previous four games, though. Bournemouth +2 comes in at +-140 odds while the Cherries sit at just +1200 odds to get their first-ever road win vs. Arsenal.

Depending on the result of Man City vs. Newcastle, Arsenal can take as much as an eight-point lead with a win. Their offense was firing on all cylinders on Wednesday as all of Bukayo Saka, Leandro Trossard, Eddie Nketiah, Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Odegaard managed a goal or assist. A draw would disappoint Mikel Arteta and it displays +550 EPL Matchday 26 odds. In five previous matches at the Emirates Stadium, Bournemouth have managed to score just two goals. Aaron Ramsdale will look to get his 12th clean sheet of the season as under three goals show -120 odds here.

Wolves vs TottenhamTOT

Date & Time:

With a few clubs hot on their heels, fourth-placed Tottenham have little margin for error to make the UEFA Champions League. Spurs also disappointingly lost to second-tier club Sheffield United on Wednesday in the FA Cup. While they also lost the first leg of the UCL round of 16 to AC Milan, Spurs have been solid in the Premier League lately. Spurs have picked up 12 points in their last five matches, which is more than any other EPL club during that span. Now, they head to Wolverhampton for a Saturday matchup.

EPL Matchday 26 odds list Tottenham as ½-goal favorites at +125 ATS and moneyline odds. Wolves lost 2-0 to Liverpool on Wednesday and are currently just three points outside of the relegation zone. Only Everton have scored fewer goals than them this season and under 2½ goals show -130 odds for Saturday’s match. Wolves forwards Matheus Cunha and Hwang Hee-Chan are recovering from injuries and could both miss the match.

Spurs also have their fair share of absences. Goalkeeper Hugo Lloris is still a few weeks away from returning, while Rodrigo Bentancur, Yves Bissouma and Ryan Sessegnon are also out. Wolves have won just four of their 12 home matches this season and come in at +225 odds to get a fifth. They are favored to cover the spread though, at -145 odds to win or draw. While Wolves have found success on the road vs. Tottenham recently, they haven’t defeated Spurs at home since 2010. Regardless, a draw displays +240 odds in an important match for both sides.

BREBrentford vs FulhamFUL

Date & Time:

Two of the biggest surprises of the Premier League season will meet next Monday as Brentford host Fulham. Brentford have proven to be incredibly hard to beat this season, as only Newcastle and Arsenal have lost fewer times than the Bees. Currently on an 11-game EPL unbeaten run, ninth-place Brentford are within striking distance of the European places. Fulham are incredibly just six points outside of the top four and advanced to the FA Cup quarter final midweek.

The last time these two teams met in a West London Derby, it was a five-goal thriller. Brentford went up 2-0 but Fulham fought back and Aleksandr Mitrovic’s last gasp winner completed an improbable comeback. Hosts Brentford are ½-goal favorites heading into the reverse fixture and show even ATS and moneyline odds. Fulham come in at -120 odds to cover and +265 odds to sweep the season series. Since returning from injury, Manor Solomon has been excellent for the Cottagers. He’s scored in each of his last four matches for Fulham and put in a brilliant curling effort in the 2-0 FA Cup win vs. Leeds.

Meanwhile, Brentford have a high-level goal scoring threat of their own. Only Harry Kane and Erling Haaland have scored more goals than the Bees’ Ivan Toney. However, it was Vitaly Janelt who scored in the 96th minute to equalize vs. Crystal Palace last weekend and keep their unbeaten run alive. Neither team would be too upset with a draw here as well, and one displays +270 odds. With Fulham defensive midfielder Joao Palhinha suspended, the Cottagers have less cover for their back line. This is expected to be another high scoring match between these two sides, as over 2½ goals are listed at -120 odds.
