PSG and Lens Thriving
An impressive PSG have managed to create a five point cushion at the top of the Ligue 1 table. So, they’ll enter the impending World Cup break in first place no matter what happens this weekend. Still, Lens have been in impressive form and certainly aren’t out of the title race just yet. They’re both favored to win their matches this weekend but it’s Monaco vs. Marseille that should produce the most intrigue. We’ll run through the soccer odds from that match and others in this Ligue 1 Matchday 15 preview.

Monaco vs. Marseille

Marseille snapped a four-game winless streak by defeating Lyon 1-0 in the Choc des Olympiques on Sunday. Samuel Gigot was the match winner for OM on a header from a Jordan Veretout corner. With the win, Marseille moved back into the top four in the Ligue 1 standings. and head to Monaco on Sunday for another big match.

They also recently booked their place in the Europa League knockout stage. Aleksandr Golovin and Breel Embolo have also been on the scoresheet in consecutive weeks vs. Toulouse and Angers.
Heading into their match vs. Marseille, Monaco are ½-goal favorites at +125 odds. Marseille, who have lost just three times this season, are priced at -155 odds to cover the spread.
Monaco’s moneyline is the same as their ATS odds but Marseille are +205 underdogs. Last season, the away team won both fixtures. A draw shows +265 odds and the total for the match is listed at over/under three goals. The under hit twice in this fixture last season and sits at -145 odds.

Nice started off the season poorly but take a five-match unbeaten streak into their clash with Lyon on Friday. Lyon, who already have six losses this season, are still favored to win and cover the ½-goal spread at -130 odds. Nice +½ might look like a steal to some, at even odds.
The last ten meetings are exactly even, with five wins for each side. Nice sit at +350 odds to win, while a draw is priced at +300 odds to occur in this fixture for the first time since 2017. Both teams have typically scored in this fixture in recent years and over 2½ goals shows -130 odds for Friday’s match.
Lens vs. Clermont

With four consecutive wins, Lens are staking their claim as Champions League contenders. They’re in second place and have Clermont on this weekend’s Ligue 1 schedule. Clermont have drawn three of their last five and will try to break Lens’ seven-game home winning streak on Saturday. Draws have been common in this fixture and they’ve occurred four times in the last five meetings. Another one is priced at +375 odds.
Meanwhile, Lens’ moneyline is +220 and Clermont show +575 odds to beat Lens for the first time since 2018. Lens are one-goal favorites and are priced at -135 odds to cover the spread. That could have something to do with the form of Lois Openda, Florian Sotoca and Wesley Said, who have accounted for 18 of their 24 goals this season. Clermont sit at +105 odds to cover, which they’ve frequently done on the road this season. The over/under total is 2½ and the over is implied to be more likely, at -140 odds.
Stade Rennais vs. Toulouse

Like Lens, Rennes have been in excellent form as of late. They’re on a ten-match unbeaten run heading into Saturday’s contest vs. Toulouse. Rennes have a bunch of attacking standouts and have won six of seven matches at home this season.
They’re priced at -200 odds to win on Saturday and -120 odds to cover the one-goal goal line. Toulouse, who’ve lost two in a row, sit at -110 odds to cover the goal line and are priced at just +475 odds to win.
Rennes hung on for a draw at Lille last weekend and a second straight draw is priced at +380 odds. SRFC average over two goals per game but under three goals total sits at -135 odds for the game. That could have something to do with the fact that Toulouse haven’t scored in each of their last two games.
Rennes defender Birger Meling is suspended for the match but leading scorer Martin Terrier could return from a thigh injury.
PSG vs. Auxerre

A Ligue 1 Matchday 15 preview wouldn’t be complete without mentioning the defending champions, PSG. The Parisians are on a four-game winning streak and defeated Lorient 2-1 on a late Danilo Pereira goal last weekend.
Now, they host newly promoted Auxerre in a match PSG are certainly expected to win. In fact, they’re priced at -130 odds to win by three goals or more. Auxerre are even-money underdogs to cover the 2½-goal spread. They did lose to Rennes 5-0 earlier this season but all of their recent matches have been close.
PSG’s moneyline, at +1100 odds, doesn’t appear to offer much value this weekend. Auxerre have won just one of seven road matches this season, so +2500 might not be too much of a bargain. A draw, which occurred the last time these teams met in Ligue 1, albeit over ten years ago, sits at +1000 odds.
Oddsmakers are expecting PSG to score a lot in the match and who could blame them? Kylian Mbappe and Neymar are the league’s joint-top scorers with 11 goals. Over four goals is priced at +110 odds for the match, while the under sits at -140.
