AC Milan managed a 4-0 statement win over leaders Napoli on Serie A Matchday 28 but Napoli are still in pole position. The Partenopei hold a 16-point lead at the top of the table but Milan’s victory was massive in the top four race. Second-placed Lazio are currently on 55 points, Milan are in third with 51, while Inter Milan and Roma are level on 50. Atalanta and Juventus are also in the race with 48 and 44 points respectively. This weekend Lazio will take on Juve in a massive match in the Serie A top four race. Let’s take a look at the Biancocelesti vs. the Bianconeri and some other important Serie A Matchday 29 odds.

Match of the Week

Only Fiorentina have gained more points over the last five matches than Lazio and Juventus. In a match between two of Serie A’s hottest teams, the Biancocelesti host the Bianconeri on Saturday.

Lazio’s Ciro Immobile came off the bench in their 2-0 win over Monza but their record-setting striker could certainly start here. Maurizio Sarri’s team is at full strength now, with no names currently on the injury report. Meanwhile, Juventus picked up a 1-0 win over Verona on Matchday 28 but winning goalscorer Moise Kean is suspended for this match.

The latest Serie A odds list this match as a pick’em. Lazio come in at -120 odds to cover, while Juventus pk sits at even odds. Lazio have kept an incredible six straight league clean sheets and they have the best defensive record in the league this season.

Goalkeeper Ivan Provedel, who signed from Spezia last Summer, leads Serie A with 16 shutouts as well. Juventus have won a respectable seven of their 13 road matches this season but they’re +190 underdogs here. Any outcome here is quite possible, as the odds price Lazio at +165 to win and a draw at +200.

While Lazio have a clean bill of health, Juventus may be missing some players in this one. Leonardo Bonucci, Paul Pogba and Federico Chiesa all missed the match vs. Verona. They’re listed as day-to-day and bettors should monitor their statuses leading up to the match.

Prior to Saturday’s match, Juventus also take on Inter Milan in the first leg of the Coppa Italia semifinal. Like Lazio, Juve have conceded well under a goal per game this season and this has the potential to be a defensive battle. Under two goals come in at -115 odds here.

Inter Milan may be in the Coppa Italia semifinal and Champions League quarterfinals but they’ve slipped up in Serie A lately. The Nerazzurri have lost their last three matches in the league and the last two were at the San Siro. Inter may have dominated possession vs. Fiorentina on Saturday but Giacomo Bonaventure’s goal gave the Viola the win.

Now, desperately needing to bounce back, the Serie A Matchday 29 odds price Inter as -245 favorites on the road at Salernitana. Salernitana, fighting for their lives in the top flight, have drawn their last four matches.

Although Salernitana have avoided defeat in each of their last five matches, the hosts are 1.5-goal underdogs here. Over the weekend, the Granata held a lead on the road at Spezia but the hosts managed to equalize. Salernitana sit at -135 odds to cover the spread but lost 2-0 to Inter at the San Siro earlier in the campaign.

In fact, since Salernitana earned promotion to Serie A in 2021, they’ve been outscored by Inter 12-0 in three matches. Inter have struggled to score recently, though, as they’ve drawn blanks in their last three matches in all competitions. That could explain why they come in at +115 odds to cover. They do have talented strikers, like Lautaro Martínez, Edin Dzeko and Romelu Lukaku, though.

Simone Inzaghi was missing a few players in the loss vs. Fiorentina over the weekend. Defenders Federico Dimarco and Milan Skriniar and midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu missed out through injury. Meanwhile, Danilo D’Ambrosio is still suspended and will miss this match.

Salernitana are likely to be missing midfielder Pasquale Mazzocchi here but they have scored in their last three matches. Striker Boulaye Dia has reached double figures for the season but the hosts are priced at just +650 odds to win. A draw displays +380 odds, while under three goals come in at -135 odds.

Napoli’s 4-0 loss to AC Milan was by far their biggest defeat of the season and just their fourth, in all competitions. Regardless, the Partenopei are still well on top of the Serie A standings and they don’t appear to have any serious title challengers.

They’d have to lose at least five of their remaining ten games for any other team to have a chance. Still, with the Champions League quarterfinals coming up, also vs. AC Milan, Napoli will look to get back on track at Lecce. Puglian club Lecce are currently in 16th place and have lost each of their last four matches, heading into Monday’s Matchday 28 game vs. Empoli. Even though their recent form has been concerning, Lecce are eight points away from the relegation zone.

The odds list visitors Napoli as one-goal favorites for this match. The Serie A leaders sit at +115 odds to cover and haven’t lost consecutive matches all season. Meanwhile, Lecce have just a 2-6-5 record at home this season.

They show -135 odds to cover and +500 odds to win the match and impressively picked up a draw at Napoli earlier this season. Without Serie A-leading goal scorer Victor Osimhen, Napoli looked toothless vs. AC Milan. Punters should continue to keep tabs on his status in the lead up to this match. If he can’t play, Giovanni Simeone or Giacomo Raspadori could start up top instead.

Regardless, Napoli come in at -160 odds to win this match and a draw is at +270. Even if Osimhen can’t suit up, Luciano Spalletti can still call on Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. The in-demand Georgian winger has scored 12 goals and assisted on 10 others this season.

Apart from Osimhen and Kvara, only Elif Elmas has scored more than five league goals, though. Lecce have also failed to score in each of their last four Serie A matches and the odds price under 2.5 goals at -135 odds for Friday’s match.

Serie A’s bottom two teams will meet on Saturday as Sampdoria host Cremonese. With just ten games remaining, bottom club Cremonese are 12 points from safety. Meanwhile, Sampdoria are 10 points from safety. So, both teams will need a miracle to avoid relegation but a win here from either could start to build some momentum. The Serie A Matchday 29 odds list this match as a pick’em but Sampdoria are favored.

The home sideshow -155 odds to cover the spread and Cremonese pk comes in at +135. Notably, Cremonese have only won one match all season and are 0-7-7 on the road this season. This is one of their best chances of the season to win on the road and their moneyline odds are +225.

Sampdoria have been dreadful at home this season, picking up just seven points in 14 matches. The Blucerchiati are +130 favorites to get their second home win of the season and this is certainly a must-win match on both sides. A draw doesn’t do much for either team’s hopes of avoiding the drop but one comes in at +220 odds. La Samp have scored the fewest goals in Serie A this season, with just 16 in 28 matches. While Cremonese have scored a bit more, they’ve conceded a league-high 52 goals in 2022-23.

Manolo Gabbiadini has scored almost half of Sampdoria’s goals this season and he scored a brace a couple weeks back vs. Verona. He’ll be key for Sampdoria in this match as Cremonese defenders Vlad Chiriches and Alex Ferrari are day-to-day.

Cremonese have scored 1.3 goals per game in their last six matches but forward David Okereke could be out for this one. Look for either Daniel Ciofani and Cyriel Dessers to start if Okereke misses the match.

Sampdoria defender Jeison Murillo is suspended for this one and Koray Gunter could miss out due to injury. With both teams needing to score goals and win this match, over 2 goals are priced at -140 odds.
