Predicting the NBA All-Star Starters

These Players Are Having Career Years and Deserve All-Star Selections

The Elite Among the Best 🤩

The NBA All-Star Game is coming up and we’re going to find out who the starters are soon. There will likely be a lot of the usual suspects ending  up starters, but we could also see some younger NBA players get the honor.

Uncover Exclusive Picks & Predictions From Our Experts.

In the Eastern Conference, there are some obvious picks. Reigning MVP Joel Embiid has been on a tear this season and is dominating NBA games. He’s likely en route to his second MVP if he keeps playing this well. He’ll be the starting center for the East.

At power forward, none other than Giannis Antetokounmpo will be making the start. He’s the highest vote-getter in the Eastern Conference and he’s still one of the three best players in the world. Joining Embiid and Giannis in the frontcourt will be Jayson Tatum at small forward.

He’s led the Celtics to the best record in the NBA and should be in the MVP mix. Tyrese Haliburton was an All-Star last year but took his game to another level this season. One of the biggest NBA news stories this year is just how much he’s improved. He’ll likely be the starting point guard for the group. Plus, the All-Star game is in Indianapolis, so they’ll want the hometown star to get the spotlight.

Things get interesting at shooting guard. Tyrese Maxey, Jalen Brunson, and Donovan Mitchell should all be in the mix. I’m gonna go with Mitchell as he’s the highest scorer of the three.

In the Western Conference, Nikola Jokic will start at center. He’s earned the title of best player in the world and hasn’t skipped a beat. He’ll be a starter for sure. At power forward, I’d personally go with Anthony Davis. He’s the best defensive player in the world, is having a huge season, and hasn’t been involved in any negative NBA rumors this time around. However, it’s going to be Kevin Durant who gets the nod. At small forward, LeBron James will be the pick, as he’ll likely be a team captain as one of the top vote-getters.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has earned a starting nod at shooting guard this year. He’s got the Thunder on a roll and is averaging 31.1 points per game this season. He’s a shoo-in for a starting spot. There are a few options at point guard. The team could go with Anthony Edwards but his skillset is similar to Gilgeous-Alexander’s. I’d go with Luka Doncic at point guard, as he’s an elite scorer but can also distribute the ball.
